2026 Summer of Service
Program Details
We often hear that the period of youth is a time of preparation. The development of society will certainly depend to a great extent on the effectiveness of the preparations young people make for the world they will inherit. What we should ask, then, is how young people can best prepare themselves for the responsibilities they will have to take on. Many young people are impelled by a vision of transforming their community by empowering the younger generation.
In light of this, Edmonds Youth Education Centre will be offering an opportunity to be trained as an Education Program Coordinator during a Summer of Service for Grade 10-12 students. This Summer of Service provides an opportunity to spend a summer in meaningful service to the community and develop leadership skills in coordinating educational programs for the younger generation.
Dates: July 2 - August 14, 2026
